Marcello Lippi has dismissed rumours claiming he is close to reaching an agreement to coach Lyon next season.
Reports in France appear to indicate that Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas has contacted Lippi to sound out his availability.
Lyon have been disappointing this season and the fans have turned on the current manager, Claude Puel.
"I have never received offers from Lyon's directors, nor have I been contacted personally," Lippi said.
"Among other things it's not nice to talk about possible replacements for a Coach who is still in the job."
