Franco Colomba makes his Parma debut against Lazio today and admits “there isn't time to discover the problems slowly.”
He was drafted in this week after a 2-1 home defeat to basement club Bari proved the final straw for Pasquale Marino.
“It is the job of the person who just arrived, which in this case is me, to inquire about the issues at hand,” said the new Coach.
“There isn't time to discover the problems slowly, so if possible I want to do it earlier. I found everyone very open and helpful, from the oldest to the youngest.
“As for myself, I'll try to give all my enthusiasm and desire to do well. There can be no doubting that.”
Both sides are fired up for this game, as Lazio can go into fourth place with a win, while Parma are battling against relegation.
“These top and tail meetings in the table can often cause an upset, so we'll cling to that and our desire to get out of the bottom spots. Even if there is a difference in status, that tends to disappear towards the end of the season.
“We are strong after a week of intense, regenerating training and I'm sure we'll put all that into practice.
“Lazio are organised, physically imposing, fast on the wings, geometric in midfield and piercing in attack.”
