Dejan Stankovic celebrates his Coppa stunner, but warns Inter fans the Scudetto and Jose Mourinho's return are “impossible.”
The midfielder scored a fantastic goal on the half-volley to beat Roma 1-0 in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final last night.
“I don't tend to score normal goals. I wish I could get a tap-in faced with an open goal,” smiled Deki.
“The most important thing is that the team wins. Now we must get our heads down and prepare for the game with Lazio.”
The Nerazzurri had been in the Scudetto race, but now find themselves in a head-to-head with Lazio to protect third place.
“I am realistic, therefore I believe the Scudetto is now impossible. I also think all this talk of Mourinho's return is almost impossible too.
“We must focus on carrying on with Leonardo, because there is a season still in the balance. If we reach the Champions League and hopefully win another trophy, then it can be considered a positive campaign.
“There are regrets about the League, as we did so much to reach the derby in a strong position. Still, you cannot criticise a team that has won everything in recent years.”
