Chiellini: 'I want to stay with Juve'

Giorgio Chiellini has silenced reports he's set to leave Juventus. “Thanks to the new stadium, they have the priority.”

The defender has been linked with a move to the Premier League, above all Roberto Mancini's Manchester City.

“It's only normal that there is a lot of transfer speculation around my name, but I am not interested,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“I want to stay at Juventus. I really want to play in the new stadium and this is one of the reasons why Juve have the priority.”

The Bianconeri might not even qualify for the Europa League, but Chiellini is set to make his comeback against Lazio on Monday after six weeks on the treatment table.

“I suffered too much sitting on the sidelines and watching Juventus from the outside. Unfortunately we dropped two important points against Catania and that really upset me.”
