Roma have revealed that they may appeal against the red card shown to Simone Perrotta in last night's dramatic win over Bari.
The midfielder was sent-off in injury time after clashing with Andrea Masiello in an off-the-ball incident.
"Perhaps we will ask for the incident to be reviewed," director general Gian Paolo Montali noted after his club's dramatic 3-2 victory at the San Nicola.
"I hope that Perrotta is not banned. It wasn't a violent gesture and the Bari player did overreact a little."
Roma moved into joint fifth with Sunday's enthralling victory and now find themselves just a point from fourth-placed Lazio – who play Juventus this evening.
"We came here thinking that we would win this game in a simpler manner," continued the official.
"However, you have to praise Bari who didn't want to give anything away and want to honour the rest of this season."
Bottom of the table Bari were relegated last week.
