Roberto Donadoni faces his former club and admits “it was pleasing to see Milan win the Scudetto, but Cagliari won't be submissive tonight.”
The Coach spent most of his playing career at San Siro and returns during a party atmosphere.
“I must admit it was pleasing to see Milan win the Scudetto, as they represent an important element of my past, but it is going to be a real game,” declared Donadoni.
“It is also a cute coincidence that Massimiliano Allegri gets to celebrate the Scudetto by facing his former club.
“I don't believe we'll see the Rossoneri sit back in a satisfied fashion. On the contrary, they will want to make up for the midweek Coppa Italia defeat to Palermo. In turn, we won't be submissive and fully intend to get a result.”
Cagliari secured their safety several weeks ago and it has showed in their performances, picking up just two points from their last five games.
“The team put in so much effort that when the certainty of safety arrived, perhaps we started to lose than little bit of concentration and determination that makes the difference.
“Recently the big problem has been losing momentum after the break. Just look at the statistics from Sunday's defeat to Cesena, when we had 13 shots on target in the first half and just two in the second.”
