Genoa have upped their interest in Cesena and Serie A revelation Marco Parolo, according to reports.
Parolo has just completed his first season in the Italian top-flight which ended in Cesena surviving the drop and the player breaking into the Italy squad.
The midfielder is now expected to move on, with Fiorentina and Palermo associated with his swoop.
But Genoa President Enrico Preziosi has made an early move by already discussing the player's future with Cesena.
However, Chievo will also have to be involved in any negotiations for the 26-year-old as they still own a 50 per cent share in him.
