Rossi leaves Palermo - official

Palermo are looking for a new Coach after the club confirmed the departure of Delio Rossi this afternoon.

The tactician held talks with President Maurizio Zamparini today, but both men opted to go their separate ways.

An exit was expected given that Rossi was sacked earlier this season before being recalled following Serse Cosmi's problems.

Rossi was initially appointed as Rosanero boss in November 2009 when he replaced the axed Walter Zenga.

The former Lazio tactician was handed a contract until June 2011, with an option for a further season.

Stefano Pioli, who recently left Chievo after keeping them in the top flight, is now being paired with the Palermo hotseat.
