Italy play Colombia in the last group game of the Toulon Tournament today. “It's decisive and I remain confident,” said Coach Ciro Ferrara.
The Azzurrini won their opener 2-0 over the Ivory Coast and were held to a 1-1 draw by Portugal in the Under-20 competition.
“It's a decisive match for us and for them, although Colombia have the advantage because they could go through with a draw thanks to goal difference,” noted Ferrara.
“It is certainly another very tough encounter, but we cannot make calculations, especially as the Portugal-Ivory Coast game is on simultaneously. Now more than ever, we only have to focus on ourselves.
“In any case, I remain confident, because the lads are highly motivated and I'm convinced my team will put in a great performance.”
Italy and Colombia are joint top on four points, followed by Portugal on two and the Ivory Coast with 0.
