Miroslav Klose has officially left Bayern Munich, but Lazio face late competition from Valencia.
The German international is a free agent, as his contract expires on June 30 and today Bayern formally announced renegotiation talks have failed.
“Negotiations did not bring an agreement, so Klose's contract, which expires on June 30 2011, will not be extended,” read a statement.
He had been in advanced negotiations for a move to Lazio, so that could well go through within a matter of days.
On the other hand, reports coming out of Germany suggest that Liga outfit Valencia have intercepted with an offer of their own.
