Napoli captain Paolo Cannavaro is confident they will “form a great squad and keep the Three Tenors” Ezequiel Lavezzi, Edinson Cavani and Marek Hamsik.
There has been a lot of speculation over the San Paolo stars despite their qualification for the Champions League group phase.
“We know how wonderful this season has been and what we achieved, so we can't wait to get out there for next term. Playing against Barcelona would be enormously exciting,” said Cannavaro on Radio Marte.
“We always hear so much transfer gossip, but this club wants to grow, so selling one of our stars would be absurd. I tell all the fans to relax.
“President Aurelio De Laurentiis has said he will form a great squad and keep the Three Tenors.
“As for new additions, I often hear supporters in the street complain that the club isn't buying, but we all need to relax. It's not as if others have made that many signings yet. The club is working well to face a new extraordinary season.”
