Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has confirmed he wants to sell the club. “It's my tough battle against the three sides that run the show.”
The patron announced he was walking away from the Rosanero after protesting against the refereeing decisions in their 3-1 defeat to Milan.
“I have been putting up with this world for the last 24 years and the most I can manage is 25,” he told the Corriere di Romagna newspaper.
“I confirm that Palermo are for sale. It's my tough battle against the three sides that run the show.
“I try to take everyone by the hand like the leader of a crusade to defend the ‘small' clubs.
“However, too often they make me angry, as they complain about the situation, then the moment they see €5 more they forget it all and sign a contract.”
