Udinese insist Alexis Sanchez has not rejected Manchester City, but “Barcelona have the advantage right now.”
There were reports in Spain and Italy today that the Chile international had turned down a more lucrative move to the Premier League because he was determined to join the Blaugrana.
“I can say that Barcelona have the advantage over Manchester City right now,” confessed the son of Udinese President Gino Pozzo.
“The player has not manifested any particular preference, although naturally we will listen to his opinion.
“We haven't concluded any deal yet because there are still some details to work through.”
It's reported Barcelona have offered €39m including performance-related bonuses plus a player, most likely Jeffren.
Manchester City have proposed €45m including bonuses and a higher wage package for Sanchez.
