Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini admits he is sorry to see Antonio Cassano being forced out of the club.
The Blucerchiati have asked that Cassano's contract be rescinded following an argument with Riccardo Garrone.
Interviewed in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pazzini said: "It's a difficult situation. We can't do anything about it. But we are following the affair with trepidation.
"Antonio is a champion, but he is also a friend and I am very sorry to see such a great talent like him out of the team."
