Fabio Quagliarella has welcomed suggestions that Juventus could sign Sergio Aguero from Atletico Madrid.
The Bianconeri have been in talks with his club and the player regarding a summer switch, with his agent confirming Juve's concrete interest only today.
Although his proposed arrival would increase competition for a place in attack, Quagliarella is unconcerned about internal rivalry.
"Great champions are always welcome," said the striker who Juve signed outright from Napoli just last week.
"Aguero falls into the category of great players. All clubs would want somebody like him and all players would like to perform alongside him.
"However, my job is to just go out on to the field and play football, the transfer market is a subject that I have no say in."
Juventus are currently overflowing with attacking options given that they have Quagliarella, Alessandro Matri, Luca Toni, Vincenzo Iaquinta, Amauri and Alessandro Del Piero on the books.
Quagliarella is hoping to be ready for pre-season training after damaging knee ligaments in January.
