Gianluigi Buffon and Cristiano Lucarelli have become part-owners of Lega Pro side Carrarese.
The Juventus goalkeeper bought out 20 per cent of the club's shares under the name Buffon & CO. Srl.
Napoli striker Lucarelli and his father, Maurizio, bought 27.5 per cent through their business Unicoop Servizi.
Buffon has never disguised he is a fan of Carrarese, his local team, as he was born in the Tuscan town of Carrara.
The Italy star was spotted in the stands of their games during his injury lay-off this term.
Lucarelli is also from Tuscany and has a history of making investments in the area, including starting his own newspaper in Livorno.
This season Carrarese earned promotion to Lega Pro, what used to be called Serie C.
