Marius Stankevicius has had his medical in Rome this morning ahead of completing his transfer to Lazio.

The Lithuanian, who will sign a contract until June 2014 later today, agreed to the capital switch on Friday.

The defender, who has had recent loan spells at Sevilla and Valencia, has left Sampdoria for €1m.

The capital club will hand over around €800,000 a season to the player in wages.
