Roma are reportedly making a €10m bid for Manchester City full-back Pablo Zabaleta.
The Argentine is currently on international duty in the Copa America, but according to Calciomercato.it his agent is busy in negotiations.
Zabaleta would be available for around €10m and is an alternative to another Giallorossi target, Liverpool's Emiliano Insua.
The major sticking point would be Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, who is unwilling to release the player.
Meanwhile, this evening Jose Angel Valdes flew in from Spain to complete his €4.5m transfer from Sporting Gijon.
The full-back will sign a five-year contract worth €700,000 per season.
