The agent of Andrea Ranocchia has cooled speculation that the Bari player is set for a move to Juventus.
The Under-21 international has been strongly linked with La Vecchia Signora in recent weeks after impressing onlookers at the Stadio San Nicola.
However, Marco De Marchi, the youngster’s representative, has asked for calm given that we are only four games into the new season.
“It’s too soon to talk about Juventus,” De Marchi said. “However, I can’t deny that he is liked by a lot of sides.
“It is not a surprise, not to me anyway, as Andrea is an element of value who is still improving as a player.
“There are a lot of games to go this season though and we’ll evaluate everything at the end of the campaign when we have seen what he’s done on the pitch.
“For now, he knows that he must just do well with his present club.”
Ranocchia, born in 1988, started his professional career in Serie B with Arezzo in 2005-06.
He joined Bari in 2008 and was an influential figure in their promotion to the top flight last term.
