Bayern Munich have officially confirmed that Gianluca Gaudino has left the club to join Chievo.
The German Under-20 international is the son of former Manchester City midfielder Maurizio Gaudino, who was himself a German international.
Gianluca is also eligible for Italy thanks to his Italian grandparents, though he’s played for the country of his birth at both Under-19 and Under-20 level.
After eight Bundesliga appearances for Bayern in 2014-15, Gaudino spent the past two seasons on loan with St Gallen in the Swiss Super League.
Now though Bayern have confirmed that he will make the move to the Flying Donkeys.
“Gianluca Guadino will leave Bayern Munich on July 1 to join the Italian club Chievo Verona,” the German champions confirmed on their official website, before a brief statement from President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
“We wish Gianluca all the best for his future in Italy, the country of his father Maurizio’s family.”
