Riyad Mahrez has reportedly accepted a move to Roma, but they’ve yet to meet Leicester City’s asking price.
The Algerian has emerged as the Giallorossi’s top target to replace Mohamed Salah, who moved to Liverpool earlier this summer.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Lupi already have an agreement in place with Mahrez, who is keen to make the move to Serie A.
However, while the Foxes have lowered their demands from €40m [£35m] to €35m [£31m], Roma have so far been rejected at €23m.
The Giallorossi hope to find a compromise at €26m plus bonuses.
