Inter winger Ivan Perisic says “it’s a special day” after extending his contract with the club until 2022.
Perisic was heavily linked with Manchester United over the summer, but the 28-year-old is now set to play a key role in Luciano Spalletti’s Nerazzurri revolution.
“It’s a special day, certainly there’s a bit of emotion and I’m also happy after the stress of this summer,” he told Inter Channel.

“It’s a special day, certainly there’s a bit of emotion and I’m also happy after the stress of this summer,” he told Inter Channel.
“Now we’re looking ahead and I’m only thinking about Inter. After signing on, we can only think about the pitch.
“I didn’t say anything for a while. Now I can say that with Mr. Spalletti, we talked about preparation and he told me that with him, I could get even better.
“Handanovic also spoke to me about Spalletti, from his time at Udinese, and he only spoke well of him.
“We did well in our first two games and now we have to keep going like this.
“There’s always so many of the fans, and that’s even better for us. Things will be easier with their support.”
