Atalanta comeback sinks Sassuolo

Atalanta came back from a goal down to beat Sassuolo 2-1 in a thrilling encounter that was end-to-end stuff.

Stefano Sensi opened the scoring against the run of play for Sassuolo with a classic counter, but it was cancelled out by the debut Serie A strike from Andreas Cornelius.

Andrea Petagna came off the bench to get the winner, though he had to wait for VAR to give the all-clear.

Gian Piero Gasperini got his first points on the board at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.
