Maurizio Sarri has called youngsters Leandrinho and Michael Scarf for Napoli’s Coppa Italia clash with Udinese, but Lorenzo Tonelli is left out.
The Partenopei face Massimo Oddo’s side in the cup tonight, and it’s expected they’ll make substantial changes.
Sarri’s squad gives credence to that notion, with 19-year-old Brazilian striker Leandrinho called into the party.
Also included is the 18-year-old Ghanaian Michael Scarf, the left-back who is on loan from Carpi.
However, Lorenzo Tonelli hasn’t been called even for this Coppa game, giving an indication of his status within the squad.
The former Empoli centre-back joined Napoli last summer, but arrived with a knee injury.
He hasn’t made a single appearance this season, though he did get two goals in his three Serie A games last term.
Napoli squad for Udinese: Reina, Rafael, Sepe, Albiol, Chiriches, Mario Rui, Hysaj, Koulibaly, Maksimovic, Maggio, Scarf, Jorginho, Allan, Hamsik, Rog, Zielinski, Giaccherini, Callejon, Leandrinho, Ounas, Insigne, Mertens
