France Football reported that Marseille Coach Rudi Garcia had set his sights on the former Lyon star for a return to Ligue 1 in the January transfer window.
“I have had no contact with Marseille for Maxime, that is beyond doubt,” agent Frederic Guerra told le10sport.com.

The 28-year-old has made only nine competitive appearances for Roma this season, but contributed two assists.
