Massimo Oddo was glad Udinese found “different ways to earn three points, but Bologna did not deserve to lose today.”

The Friulani have been positively transformed since Oddo replaced Gigi Del Neri, notching up five consecutive victories, including today’s 2-1 at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

“At times a change of management helps, at times it doesn’t. I found a positive environment here and the lads immediately put themselves at my disposal,” Oddo told Rai Sport.

“It’s not easy to win five in a row, but today we realised that you can win both with great credit and great suffering. There are different ways to earn three points in different situations.

“I’ll admit Bologna did not deserve to lose today. We were clinical and determined, able to soak up pressure.”

Rodrigo De Paul came off the bench and almost immediately set up the winner for Kevin Lasagna.

“De Paul is one of the most talented players we have, so when he comes on, he is always decisive. Lasagna has everything it takes to become a great striker.”
