The Brazilian is left out of tonight’s massive trip to Napoli as punishment for his poor attitude in a 2-1 home defeat to Genoa on Monday.

“He did not ask to be sold, those reports are not true,” Tare told Mediaset Premium.

“We never even discussed that. The only thing that matters for everyone is that the team is more important than the individual and the rules apply to everyone.

“Felipe Anderson’s quality is beyond debate, but he needs to learn and improve in some fundamental issues for working within a team. He already proved that in the past. We spoke to him on Tuesday for two hours and I hope he understood, because we all love him here.

“The Coach also has a strong rapport with him, but what counts is the team objective and we must all work together.”

It’s a big game this evening, as third-placed Lazio visit leaders Napoli.

“We are facing the Serie A leaders in a difficult arena, but have shown that we know how to win in tricky stadiums, even against Juventus. We’ve got to forget the two defeats recently and improve our status.”
