“I see a squad that always tries to work with enthusiasm, but it’s not easy when the results aren’t coming, so we need anger rather than depression to turn this around.

“It’s crucial we don’t allow spaces for Domenico Berardi and Matteo Politano to run into and I’ll ask the lads to constantly double up the marking.”

Bologna are forced into changes, missing banned Rodrigo Palacio, Ibrahima Mbaye and Adam Masina, so Mattia Destro should get a rare start.

“We are missing some key players, but there will be others eager to take this opportunity and prove what they can do. I do think Destro will play tomorrow and I want to make it clear that there is no problem in our rapport. If there’s someone who always gave him the utmost consideration, it was me.”
