Juan Jesus notes Roma can “build momentum and self-belief” with a victory away to Udinese this afternoon.

“It’ll be difficult, but we must continue to build on what we’re doing so far,” the defender told Roma TV.

“A win today would give us even more confidence to prepare for the next games. Udinese have changed a lot under Massimo Oddo, but are also a very physical side, so that will make it tough.

“We have to attack in numbers, because we need a victory to build momentum and self-belief.”

With Aleksandar Kolarov rested ahead of the Champions League trip to Shakhtar Donetsk, Juan Jesus is moved into a new role.

“Being a left-back isn’t really my position, but I am always happy to help the team, even if it means going in goal. I am ready and hope we have a great game.”
