The Grifone beat Inter 2-0 at Marassi with an Andrea Ranocchia own goal and Pandev strike.

“We put in a great second half performance. We had prepared well, gave our all and won it deservedly,” Pandev told Mediaset Premium.

“It was the right way to play in front of our fans. We must all thank the Coach, because he has helped turn things around. He gave me the opportunity to play consistently and feel important, so the rest came as a consequence.

“We don’t want to stop now, as we can do even better.”

Pandev pointedly refused to celebrate the goal against his old club.

“I will always thank Inter, as they brought me to Italy and let me win a Treble, but today we simply had to win. I hope they qualify for the Champions League, because a club like Inter deserves it.”
