Cagliari announce that goalkeeper Alessio Cragno has signed a new deal with the club until 2022.

The 24-year-old has recently re-established himself as the Sardi’s first-choice shot-stopper after a spell out injured towards the end of last year.

And in a statement released on the club’s official website, the Rossoblu communicated that the Italy U21 international would be extending his stay in Sardinia, where he moved in 2014.

“The club is happy to announce that an agreement has been reached with Alessio Cragno,” it reads.

Cragno, who spent last season on loan at Benevento, was linked with a transfer to Napoli last summer.
