Alessandro Costacurta warned the FIGC “must find a new Italy Coach quickly, but Max Allegri, Luciano Spalletti and Antonio Conte are all under contract.”
Former Milan defender Costacurta was appointed as sub-commissioner for the FIGC after the failed election to find a new President of the Federation.
He has been given the task of choosing the heir to sacked Azzurri CT Giampiero Ventura.
“We must hurry up and find a new Italy Coach quickly, but there are many tacticians who already have jobs that I cannot get close to,” said Costacurta at a ‘Sport and Economy’ event.
“Think, for example, of Allegri, Spalletti or Conte, all of them are under contract.”
Costacurta was asked if Allegri could become an option if he were to leave Juventus at the end of the season.
“I think over the next few years we’ll see Allegri still being on the bench of an important club.”
