Nantes’ owner has confirmed that he will not stand in Claudio Ranieri’s way of becoming the next Italy CT.
Ranieri admitted on Tuesday that he would ask Nantes to be released for the Italy job, and Waldemar Kita accepted the position would not come up again for the ex-Roma, Juventus and Leicester City boss.
“I’d understand it if that was how he wanted to end his coaching career at the top level. It won’t come twice,” he said at a Press conference.
“We must analyse it properly so we don’t leave the club in trouble. I’m not here to curb any personal ambitions, but nothing’s been done until now.”
