Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi has vowed to field his “best team” against Steaua Bucharest and hinted that Felipe Anderson will feature.

Lazio must score at least once on Thursday to reach the Europa League quarter-finals, prompting Inzaghi to not only call on his strikers for goals but also Anderson, who has returned from his short spell in exile.

“The result of the first leg penalises us, we know that, but we’re also aware that we need to score more than one goal,” the Coach said at a Press conference, referring to the 1-0 defeat in Romania.

“We’ve shown that we can score three goals in a single game, but we must be balanced on the pitch and not concede.

“I told the lads we have to think about one game at a time. Last season, we made a lot of sacrifices to qualify for the Europa League, so we’ll do everything to go through.

“I’ll try to play the best team possible. I have one in mind, but I have to see how the lads have recovered from Monday’s match against Verona.

“It may be Felipe Anderson’s game, but it can also be the game for Immobile or Caicedo: we need our strikers.

“We want to repeat our performance in Bucharest, but we’ll have to be very clear-headed. We can always score a goal, but the important thing isn’t to concede one.

“They are very organised and didn’t only think about defending in Bucharest. They have some quality players, so we’ll have to be careful.

“There will be more than 10,000 Romanians, so we hope our fans, like they have been doing, fill the stadium and make themselves more felt.

“I’m very calm and serene. I also was before the match against Verona because we did well in Bucharest.

“The ball goes in sooner or later if you create a lot. There are those unlucky games like the first leg against Steaua or the first half against Verona, but I know we can do well.”
