And former Inter defender Materazzi has a high opinion of the Diavolo tactician, with the duo having been former international teammates.

“I am an admirer of his,” Materazzi said looking ahead to this evening’s Derby della Madonnina. “He has always been underestimated but he is a great Coach.”
“But don’t ask me to support against Inter in the derby against Milan.”
The 2006 World Cup winner was also quizzed about Italy’s failure to qualify for this summer’s tournament in Russia.
“It’s never the fault of one person, but of a series of things.
“A team that has won several World Cups like Italy should not be out of the tournament.
“We need to protect young Italian talent by obliging teams to play at least five of them, like other nations do.”
