Milan are working to extend defender Alessio Romagnoli’s contract to June 2023 and practically double his salary.

The current deal is due to expire in June 2020 and he has been the subject of numerous offers both inside Italy and in Europe.

According to Mediaset Premium, the club wants to ensure Romagnoli is locked down for the present and future.

A meeting is set with agent Sergio Berti to discuss extending his current contract to June 2023.

His salary of €2m per year will also be bumped up to €3.5-4m.
