Felipe Anderson called the 2-2 draw with Dynamo Kiev “really disappointing” for Lazio, but they maintain hope of qualification.

The Aquile had gone behind at the Olimpico, turned it all around in eight minutes through Ciro Immobile and Felipe Anderson, before a Junior Moraes stunner.

“It’s really disappointing, because we wanted a positive result. At the same time, we mustn’t underestimate the value of this draw, as Dynamo Kiev are a good team and we allowed them too many spaces. We must stay calm and bring home qualification next week,” Felipe Anderson told Sky Sport Italia.

This is the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16 and the decider is next Thursday.

“It’s different when I play from the start, as I feel the game more and it also means the Coach knows he can count on me. Some things happened that were disappointing, but we grew thanks to that and now I have to work even harder to be at 100 per cent, whether I start or come off the bench.”

The Brazilian had been dropped for several games as punishment for his poor attitude.

“That’s all in the past now, it helped us to come closer together and understand each other better. We are human beings, we make mistakes and learn from them.”
