“We were solid and worked really hard to keep our shape,” the Brazilian told Sky Sport Italia.

“We knew that if we kept a clean sheet here, we could cause them real problems and were fully aware that we could bring home the result.

“The more mature players in the squad helped the rest keep calm. The Coach always puts his faith in us, regardless of results. Now we have to take it one game at a time and concentrate on Serie A, because one of our objectives is to finish in the top four.

“We want to go as far as possible in the Europa League too.”
