Gaetano Miccicchè has been officially confirmed as the new President of the Lega Serie A, winning unanimous support from all 20 clubs.

The following 12 months have seen numerous failed attempts to elect someone new, with first ex-FIGC chief Carlo Tavecchio and then CONI President Giovanni Malago forced to step in as commissioner.
