Coach Walter Zenga believes Crotone can secure their Serie A safety thanks to “our philosophy of football.”

The Calabrese club fought back from a disastrous start to avoid relegation on the final day of last season and Zenga hopes to follow in the footsteps of Davide Nicola.

“We are preparing well, enjoying our training and hope that a few injured players can recover quickly,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“The secret to Crotone’s success is our approach, because we have always tried to play good football and must simply avoid a few individual errors.

“We’ve proved that we play well and have our philosophy of football. The next game is always the most important, so our eyes are on Fiorentina.

“I tell my team that they are a group of winners and must therefore go out there, play football and win.”

In the race to avoid relegation, Crotone will have more away fixtures than at the Stadio Scida during this run-in.

“I hadn’t noticed, but there’s no guarantee that playing at home is an advantage in these situations.”
