Inter pulled off ‘a real coup’ to sign Lautaro Martinez, who will have no problems adapting to Serie A, according to ex-Cagliari and Uruguay star Enzo Francescoli.

Martinez will join Inter from Racing Club this summer, the striker arriving with a reputation as one of the brightest prospects to recently emerge from South American football.

“Martinez is currently the best striker in the Argentine League,” Francescoli told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Martinez is currently the best striker in the Argentine League,” Francescoli told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Despite being very young, he’s already shown a discreet personality, combined with excellent technical skills. Inter pulled off a real coup [to sign him].

“Obviously he’ll have to try and adapt to a new way of life. However, I don’t think he’ll have big problems adapting to Italy.”
