Roma Coach Eusebio Di Francesco described his “attacking, pro-active and aggressive” philosophy of football ahead of the Champions League semi-final with Liverpool.
“As a player, I never wanted to be a Coach, because I would watch my former tacticians and think I didn’t want to be like that. In the end, I fell into it too, in a positive way, and now I’m truly happy,” Di Francesco told UEFA.com.

“I want an aggressive side that doesn’t sit back and wait for the opposition to take the initiative. I don’t like teams that wait. I want my side to be pro-active and aggressive.
“I learned from my previous Coaches both what to do and what not to do. The best Coach I ever worked with in terms of attacking football was Zdenek Zeman. I learned the most from him and over time he left me with a particular philosophy.
“I am very proud to be the Roma Coach because, I won’t deny it, leading this club was a dream I had. I achieved it and now I have to prove I still deserve it.”
