Simone Inzaghi believes Atalanta should be competing for a place in the Champions League and reveals the Lazio injury crisis hit him too.

“It’ll be a very important match. We are playing against a side who everyone knows is made of strong stuff, they’re well-organised, trained well and without their Europa League commitments this season would be challenging for a place in the Champions League,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“If we win all three remaining matches, then we are in the Champions League. We’ve got to remember that and not waste energy looking at other results. We must face our games with the right spirit.”

The Biancocelesti have suffered from quite a few injury problems of late and it seems even their Coach is not immune to the curse.

Inzaghi revealed he slipped while playing teqball in training this week and cracked two ribs.

“We’ll be missing Ciro Immobile, Marco Parolo and Stefan Radu, all very important players, but in a way we’re used to this, because we’ve had injuries throughout the campaign.

“The strength of this Lazio side is in its group dynamic, which is why we always got through even without key players and will do again this time.

“I have several options for the attack tomorrow, even using Sergej Milinkovic-Savic further forward, moving Luis Alberto back with Felipe Anderson as the centre-forward. The only certainty I have right now is that Felipe Caicedo will start.”
