Andrea Bertolacci insists Milan and Italy can wait as the midfielder is ‘only thinking about doing well’ for Genoa.

Bertolacci has gone some way towards regaining his form back at Genoa after two disappointing years at Milan, prompting suggestions that he could return to the Rossoneri and end his three-year exile from the Italy fold.

“Would I like to stay Rossoblu? I’m not thinking about this right now, it’s still too early,” he told reporters.

“I want to end the season well in our next two games: I’m not really thinking about the future.

“Italy’s next CT? I’m only thinking about doing well for the shirt I play in because my appearances for the national team have always been based on my performances with Genoa and Milan.

“You deserve the national team by doing well for your club, and that’s my ambition ".
