Maurizio Sarri will meet Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis today to decide on his future.
The Coach can leave for €8m before May 31, with Chelsea said to be interested in his services.
The Partenopei are thought to be in talks with Carlo Ancelotti as a potential replacement, but their first choice would be to stick with Sarri.
Today the tactician will meet with De Laurentiis, and Il Mattino reports that his first choice is also to stay at the club.
However, the Coach will demand radical changes to the squad this summer, something which could irritate the Napoli owner, who has been frustrated with Sarri’s lack of use of his current squad.
The pair are agreed on other topics though, with De Laurentiis now willing to offer a significant wage rise to convince Sarri to stay.
For his part, the Coach doesn’t want to leave via his release clause.
If he is to leave the club, it would be via a mutual termination, rather than a club exploiting the clause in his contract.
