Now Inter, Roma, Milan and Juventus are also showing interest in the 24-year-old, who made his senior Italy debut this week.

“Napoli wanted Politano in January, but in the second half of the season, he made even more of a name for himself with his performances,” general manager Carnevali told the Corriere dello Sport.

“His price-tag has risen even further with the Italy call-up.”

The Sassuolo director was also asked about Eusebio Di Francesco wanting a reunion with Domenico Berardi at Roma.

“If there are the economic and technical conditions to make a deal, we will take any sale into consideration, but we won’t lose a player just because he wants to leave. We trust in their professionalism.

“I keep reading about Berardi to Roma, Francesco Acerbi to Lazio and Politano to Inter, but I speak to some clubs regularly and have not received any formal offers.”
