It was reported yesterday that President Aurelio De Laurentiis won’t accept anything less than €50m up-front, and Sky Italia says the latest bid hasn’t reached that figure.

City’s latest offer is said to be €47m, with €5-6m in easily achievable bonuses which with other potential add-ons could take the eventual total to €55m.

The Premier League side have also warned that they’re not willing to wait, and if the deal isn’t done in the next week they will turn to an alternative.

So far Napoli have rejected €45m plus €5m in bonuses, as well as €48m plus €2m in bonuses.
