He also read the interview where Allegri confessed he had turned down an approach from Real Madrid.

“Allegri showed his love for Juve by saying no to Real Madrid. It’s super for us to still be able to count on him,” Matuidi told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Bianconeri are improving the squad this summer and Emre Can is expected to have a medical after his contract with Liverpool expired.

“I am happy he’s coming, because he has experience and quality. After all, he is a German international. We’ll welcome him with open arms, I know he’ll do very well with us.”

There is also a bid in place for Russia international and CSKA Moscow talent Golovin.

“I saw the Russia game against Saudi Arabia and Golovin looked like a super player. I really liked his performance,” added Matuidi.

“I don’t know if he’ll come to Turin, because that’s not up to me, but I can say he looks an excellent prospect.”

There were even some rumours that Matuidi’s France international teammate Paul Pogba could return to Juventus from Manchester United.

“Ah, you’d have to ask him about that.”
