Luis Nani confirms he is ‘meeting’ Turkish side Goztepe as the Lazio winger ‘would love’ a return to the Super Lig.
Nani is set to leave Lazio after just one season with the Aquile and two Serie A starts, and the Portuguese – who was left out of his country’s World Cup squad – revealed he was in talks with Goztepe.
“I’m meeting Goztepe,” the Valencia-owned attacker told DHA.
“It’s not true that we’ve reached an agreement on the basis of €1.5m plus bonuses, but I love the Turkish people and Turkey, and I’m considering an official proposal to play in the Super Lig again.
“I would love it, but I’m still making assessments. I haven’t signed for any club yet.”
The Izmir club finished sixth in the Super Lig last season, while the 31-year-old scored 12 goals in 47 games for Fenerbahce during the 2015-16 campaign.
