Atletico Madrid’s Sime Vrsaljko is Inter’s top target for the right-back position, according to reports this morning.

The Nerazzurri had Joao Cancelo on loan from Valencia last season, but they couldn’t afford his buyout clause and he has joined Juventus.

They’ve been linked to the likes of Aleix Vidal, Davide Zappacosta and Alessandro Florenzi, but today’s Corriere dello Sport reports that their first choice is Vrsaljko.

Sporting director Piero Ausilio is in contact with with his agent, Beppe Riso, to try to understand if there’s a way of doing the transfer.

It’s thought Atleti would ask around €25m for the Croatian international, which is a long way from Inter’s valuation.

The Nerazzurri consider him to be worth just over €10m, and are offering a loan with option to buy, the newspaper reports.
